Exercise!

Howdy Floorballers!

Holidays are coming right up! I believe you are excited about it! BUT!



We tend to eat a little bit more unhealthy food during the holidays, and we tend to forget about exercising during the holidays too.

Do remember...


Do you still remember the circuit training that coach Zaidi did?

Station 1 and 2: Planking and side planking

There are many different version of planking. High plank, low plank, side planks, modified planking.. Pick 1 that you are most comfortable with, once you feel that your body is ready, up 1 level and attempt the other level. Remember to do the planks on both side of your body.

This is Side Plank.

This is the Modified Side Plank. If the usual side plank is too tough for you, try this.
Low Plank. 

 High Plank

Station 3: Crunches
Either you love it or hate it. Do it well and you will feel stronger than before!


Station 4: Jump Squats
Remember to land soft! No elephant feet! Do you want to move faster and stronger? Do this more


Station 5: Lunges
90 degrees! No more no less! Do not be lazy!

Time to improve on your stamina

Hello!

Stamina is a very important factor that will affect how you play, be it normal playing or competitive playing. Without stamina, no matter how good your skills are, it is as good as zero.

I believe some of you have experienced these in games...


It is not because you are weak, you are just lacking stamina. 

So what's stamina? 

It is something that keeps you going without you feeling tired (or like the images above). Before you start building on your muscles, you need to build on stamina first.

So what can you do to improve your stamina? 

  • Proper and balanced meals are super duper important! Fruits, vegetables, meats... Do not skip any of these! You still can have your fast food, but not too often alright!


  • Give the lift a break by taking the stairs.

  • Exercise regularly. 3 times a week and don't quit! You can always ask your family to join you too! Exercise is gooooooooooooooood! Swimming, running, jogging, walking, our usual warm up exercises... Every time you exercise, it should be more than 20 minutes.

Journey for Seniors has ended

Yup, that's right.

Our journey for our Seniors has ended.


This journey wasn't a smooth one at first, but we were lucky to have them resolved in time!

We had problems forming a team... and Raven came to our rescue! We had scheduling issue with our coach... Thank you Coach Sonia for standing in on Fridays!

I will definitely miss the time where I got hit by the ball during our recess training (my ear was still buzzing after an hour. Ferdy, I totally understand now), the "picnic" session we had after the games (thank you Mummies and Daddies for your support!), hearing Alson's mummy shouting at the side line “看球!” (watch the ball!)...

Thank you boys for all your hard work and tireless effort during this period.

Thank you 'Ammar aka Cool as Cucumber dude. You're the best! :P
Thank you Syafiq! We all have seen how you have grown and become a tougher player during this period. Gonna miss your Star Wars ringtone! 
Thank you Haikal for stepping up! You kept our last line of defence strong!

Clarification (Monday and Friday training)

Howdy Floorballers!

I've been getting a lot of pupils asking what is the difference with Monday and Friday training. So..

Monday is for everyone, Primary 2 to Primary 6.

Friday is for Competition team members, for now it is for our Senior Boys (Primary 6). After our Senior boys have completed their competition, it will be our Junior Boys turn (Primary 5 and below)
